Bleach review
Hi there everyone, i don't know why but I decided to write this review about bleach so here I go.
First of all, I want to say that whats written here, is my opinion and my opinion only, it doesn't mean that it's an absolute truth, I recommend you to see the show and make an opinion by yourself but for what is worth and if you are interested, here it goes:
There are several aspects on this show that made me love it, the first one and the most remarkable are the fight scenes, from super speed movements, to weird effect powers, all this characters have something good to show when they find themselves in a battle, and the animation is great, of course it uses a lot of cliches like vanishing and then reappearing from behind, or a surviving without a scratch from a mega super explosion, but it's entertaining so I don't care and there are as techniques as there are characters, every single one of them has 1 or 2 individual skills with tremendous destructive power even the weak characters,.
As for the storyline, is not that good, and has a lot of plot holes that doesn't make any sense, and is a lot worse in the fillers, like if several monkeys were locked with a typewriter in a room for one month or so and they only grabbed what the monkeys wrote and used in the show, but if you get used to the awkward development and the "sudden twists" you get to like it, and the good news is that even in the fillers the fights and techniques shown have a decent quality and are entertaining.
The characters are not that original, and mostly like an 80s movies they use a lot of training montages, and quick scenes where the characters are shown learning, growing and getting to know each other but they are never actually that deep when it comes to this, they do a lot of talking but if only to explain the plot and techniques or sudden events that otherwise nobody would be able to understand, but again when you get used to this you kind of like it, and even if the designs are not that original they are not bad at all, instead you get to like the good and bad characters even the filler ones.
The soundtrack of the series is really great, I know that maybe not everyone likes the music from this show but I'm sure that most people will like it, because is really good, and original too, and almost always the music is pretty well selected and goes accordingly with the scenes, whether they are sad, hilarious or just plain stupid, the sound is always in tune with what they are showing.
Another aspect of the series that I really enjoy is that they use different languages for different type of characters, some of them use a lot of Spanish which I think is cool because is not a language that they use a lot in anime, they also use a lot of German, obviously they use Japanese mostly but is refreshing whenever you hear the characters use a lot of weird words.
In overall the series is some of the most enjoyable anime and a must see if you think of yourself as an anime/manga fan.
You can watch this series legally on Crunchyroll an hour after it has been transmitted on Japan.
